Cameo credits are a form of account balance. You can apply them at checkout towards future purchases on the Cameo website or app.
When do I receive credits?
iOS app refunds: When an order placed through the iOS app expires, is declined, or is cancelled, Cameo credits are returned to your account automatically. This is because Apple processes the original payment — Cameo issues credits in lieu of a direct cash refund. If you'd prefer a cash refund instead, you can request one by tapping "Request refund" next to your order in the Cameo app, or by visiting reportaproblem.apple.com and signing in with your Apple ID.
Red Carpet Rewards: Points earned through the Red Carpet Rewards loyalty program can be redeemed as Cameo credits.
Promotional credits: Cameo may occasionally add promotional credits to your account as part of an offer or goodwill gesture from our support team.
How do I use my credits?
Credits are applied automatically at checkout when you place a new order on cameo.com or in the Cameo app. If your credit balance covers the full order amount, you won't be charged anything additional. If the order costs more than your credit balance, you'll pay the difference with your payment method.
Can I get my credits back as cash?
This depends on how the credits were issued:
iOS app credits: If your credits came from an iOS app purchase (expired, declined, or cancelled order), you can request a cash refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or by tapping "Request refund" next to the original order in the Cameo app.
All other credits (promotional, goodwill, Red Carpet Rewards): These cannot be refunded to cash and must remain in your account to use for future Cameo orders.
Do credits expire?
It depends on the type of credit:
Standard credits (iOS refunds, promotional, goodwill) — do not expire. Your balance will remain in your account until you use it.
Red Carpet Rewards credits — do have an expiry date. Check your Red Carpet Rewards account for the expiry date on your redeemed credits.
Where can I see my credit balance?
You can check your credit balance in your Cameo account settings or at checkout — your available credits will be displayed before you confirm your order.
I have credits but they're not applying at checkout
Make sure you're logged into the same account the credits were issued to. Credits are account-specific and cannot be transferred. If you're logged in and credits still aren't applying, contact our support team using the chat button below with your Order ID and we'll look into it.
