When a talent declines your request, it means they have actively chosen not to complete it. This is different from an order expiring — a decline is a deliberate decision made by the talent.
Why did the talent decline?
Talent on Cameo have the right to decline requests at their personal discretion. Some talent decline because they know they won't be able to complete the video in time, and others decline based on their own personal choice. Cameo is not able to provide specific reasons on a talent's behalf.
What's the difference between a decline and an expiry?
Declined: The talent actively chose to decline your request before the 7-day window closed.
Expired: The 7-day delivery window ran out without the talent completing or declining the request. The order closed automatically.
In both cases, your payment is refunded automatically — you don't need to contact us.
What happens to my payment?
Cameo website: The hold on your payment is released within 5–7 business days. You were never actually charged.
Android app: A refund is issued automatically within 5–7 business days.
iOS app: Cameo credits are returned to your account automatically. For a cash refund, tap "Request refund" next to your order in the Cameo app, or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
