What is the grace period?
When a talent doesn't complete a video within the original delivery window, Cameo may automatically extend your order into a grace period to give the talent additional time to complete it. During the grace period your order is still active — the talent can still deliver your video.
If your order was extended to a grace period:
Your order status will show as active at cameo.com/orders
If you paid for the 24-hour delivery upgrade and the talent missed the 24-hour window, that fee is automatically refunded to you — but your order remains active during the grace period
You will receive a Cameo notification letting you know your order has been extended
Always check cameo.com/orders first to confirm whether your order is still active before assuming it has expired.
What if my order has actually expired?
If the talent did not complete your request within the delivery window and the grace period, your order will show as expired at cameo.com/orders. When this happens, your payment is automatically refunded — you don't need to contact us to request it.
Here's what to expect depending on how you booked:
Cameo website: The hold on your payment method is released automatically. Allow 5–7 business days for it to clear, depending on your bank.
Android app: You'll receive a refund within 5–7 business days.
iOS app: Because purchases through the iOS app go directly through Apple, Cameo does not have access to your payment instrument to issue a refund. You'll receive Cameo credits back to your account automatically. If you'd prefer a cash refund instead, you can request one from Apple directly by logging into your Apple account at reportaproblem.apple.com, or by tapping the "Request refund" button next to your expired order on your Orders Page in the Cameo app.
