Can I edit the instructions after I send my Cameo video request?

Yes — you can update your request instructions as long as the talent hasn't completed the video yet.

How to modify your instructions

On the Cameo website:

  1. Go to cameo.com/orders and make sure you're logged in.

  2. Find your active request and click Modify order.

  3. Update your instructions and save.

In the Cameo app:

  1. Tap Profile (bottom right) → Your Orders.

  2. Tap your active request and select Modify.

  3. Update your instructions and save.

You can also use the modify link in your original confirmation email.

What will the talent see?

When you modify your instructions, the talent will see your updated instructions only — the original version is replaced. Whatever you submit most recently is what the talent receives. If you want to give them additional context, include it in the updated version.

Things to keep in mind

  • The Modify order option only appears on active requests — you won't see it if the talent has already completed the video.

  • If you'd like to make a significant change after the video has been filmed, contact our support team.
